Calling Isle of Wight SMEs: Join Our Free Energy Monitoring Trial

Calling Isle of Wight SMEs: Join Our Free Energy Monitoring Trial and Cut Costs & Carbon

At CEE and Green IoW, we know that many small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) want to reduce their energy bills and lower their carbon footprint — but finding the time, tools, and expertise to do it isn’t always easy. That’s why we’re developing a new energy monitoring tool designed specifically to help SMEs better understand and manage their energy use.

We’re currently running a trial to test and refine the system — and we’re looking for more local SMEs to take part.

Why join the trial?

Participating SMEs will get real value from taking part:

🌿 Free Voucher — As a thank you for your time and input, you’ll receive a voucher.

📊 Detailed Insights — Find out when and where your key equipment is using the most energy.

💡 Actionable Advice — Receive a tailored report with expert recommendations on how to reduce energy costs and your carbon footprint.

🔧 Low Effort, High Impact — We handle the installation, monitoring, and reporting.

🤝 Influence the Future — Help shape a tool that will support other SMEs across the region and beyond.

What’s involved?

We’ve designed the trial to be as simple and unobtrusive as possible:

•  A short 1-2 hour site visit to install small, non-invasive sensors and a mobile WiFi hub.

•  Around one month of remote monitoring (we handle this entirely off-site).

•  A personalised report with our findings and recommendations.

•  A final visit to remove the sensors.

What we ask from you:

•  Allow access for the two site visits.

•  Share key information about your appliances during the initial visit.

•  Keep the equipment connected during the monitoring period.

•  Provide brief feedback on the trial and the report.
