National Energy Advice Partnership Service Comes to the Island
Island households can now book a free, in-depth home energy visit thanks to a new national service delivered locally by Green Isle of Wight CIC as part of the LEAP (Local Energy Advice Partnership) programme.
The initiative offers practical, one-to-one support to help residents cut energy bills, improve home comfort, and stay warm and well through the winter.
Free Home Energy Visits
During the visit, a trained Home Energy Advisor will:
- Assess how energy is used in the home
- Offer tailored advice to improve efficiency
- Install simple energy-saving measures such as LED bulbs, draught-proofing, and radiator panels — all completely free of charge
The visit can also help residents access further support such as insulation, heating upgrades, or income maximisation advice. Some support with replacement white goods and boiler repairs may also be available.
Local Delivery for Island Residents
“We’re thrilled to be offering this service to everyone on the Island,” said Lisa Beaney, Director of Green Isle of Wight.
“These in-depth visits can make a real and immediate difference for households — not only helping people save money, but also making homes warmer, safer and more comfortable. So often the Isle of Wight is excluded from the national schemes because of our location, we have worked hard to ensure that Island residents do not miss out.”
