Power Together

The island’s first community-owned Virtual Power Plant.

this project wll install 1 megawatt-hour of smart battery storage across 200+ homes, schools and small businesses. These batteries store energy when it’s cheaper or cleaner and release it when demand is high, helping to lower bills, cut carbon, and bring financial benefits back into the community.

How does it work?

Smart home and commercial batteries are connected through the proven Fairer Warmth platform. Together, they form a Virtual Power Plant that trades flexibility and stored energy on national markets. This brings income back to the island while supporting a cleaner, more resilient energy system.

The project is funded through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme.
